PVS V4.1 Documentation Script Has Been Updated 28-JAN-2014

January 28, 2014

Blog, PowerShell, PVS

While testing my XenDesktop 7.1 lab, I had one of my PVS servers powered off.  When I ran the PVS documentation script, I got an error about the server not responding while processing the bootstrap file.  The rest of the server information comes from the database but the bootstrap file is read from the server’s hard drive.  With the server powered off there is obviously no way to read the bootstrap file.  I added a test to see if the server is online.  If the server is online, the bootstrap file is processed.  Otherwise a message is displayed saying the server is offline.

When I looked at the Word document, I noticed there were three items that were not lined up properly.  These items dealt with PvD which I did not have access to at the time I wrote the script.  I fixed those three items.

Script version is now 4.11.

NOTE: This script is continually updated.  You can always find the most current version by going to http://carlwebster.com/where-to-get-copies-of-the-documentation-scripts/
