NetScaler Documentation Script 1.0 Has Been Updated 26-May-2014

May 26, 2014

NetScaler, PowerShell

Barry and I have received a couple of emails where users were reporting strange issues with the Word document created by the script. It turns out, the script was not properly handling cases where the ns.conf file did not exist in the script folder or was unreadable. Barry gave me permission to fix these two issues and while I was at it, he allowed me to fixed another document formatting issue.

If the ns.conf file does not exist in the folder where the script resides, you will now get the follow error message.

ns.conf file not found

ns.conf file not found

If the ns.conf file is empty or unreadable the following error message is given.

Empty or unreadable ns.conf

Empty or unreadable ns.conf

All the various Advanced Configuration sections have been converted to tables so all sections in the report have a consistent look.

The NetScaler script is now at version 1.0.3.

NOTE: All scripts are continually updated. You can always find the most current versions by going to http://carlwebster.com/where-to-get-copies-of-the-documentation-scripts/

Thanks

Webster and Barry
